Our partner in teaching and research duties at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Professor Juan Antonio Martinez López, successfully defended the Thursday February 24, 2011 in the faculty of Biology at the University of Murcia. The title of his doctoral thesis was " Optimization of modified atmosphere packaging of Iceberg lettuce" and was directed by Dr. Artes Calero. He received the Outstanding rating cum laude. Our colleague, a member since its inception to our team and we wish her our heartfelt congratulations. We continue to work in our research (especially melons) and so far in the UPCT and capable of other career goals in the future.

The melon fruit exported in 2010 from the Region of Murcia have proved more profitable than 25% in value last year 2009 (EUR 105 million), with a production volume of 168,801 t. - Achieve the curricular requirements of excellence and expertise.
- Meet the legal or contractual requirements established by the home university and by the Fundación Carolina.
